ROTC Ball

On the 18th of February the JROTC students celebrated their yearly event called the ROTC ball where the girls can wear lovely dresses and the guys wear their dress blues and have fun in an event where they get to eat and dance. This year, this event was held at the navy base. Once the students arrived they would find a place to sit and find their friends, everyone also had the chance to take as many photos with their friends as they wanted during the whole night. Once everyone is settled in, it is tradition that one of the students attending would have the honor of singing the national anthem, this year sophomore Samantha Rose Figuroa was chosen to sing. Once the national anthem had been sung it was time to announce royalties.

Every student had to vote the day before who in their grade had the honor to win royalty. The two students who won for the freshmans were Maggie Basurto and Billy Peterson. For the sophomores, the winners were Adriana Lopez Pinuelas and Jessie Garcia, For the Juniors, Daniel Madera and Kaitlyn Kranzler won. Lastly, for the seniors. Once royalties had been selected it was time to start the dancing portion of the event, the students would go to a different room and had the option to dance, play cards, talk, play pool, arcade games, darts, or go outside for some fresh air for the remainder of the night.
